Sisters in the Lord around the world gathering across denominations, races and cultures to unite in “Kingdom Praying” in their neighborhoods and places of work with a holy desperation for Jesus’ prayer… “that they may be as one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You have sent Me.” – John 17:21 NKJV
“From the Neighborhoods to the Nations and from the workplace to the World -Transforming our cities for Christ through Lighthouses of Prayer”
History of WPI
What began in 1997 as the Women’s Prayer Committee for the South Texas Billy Graham Crusade has grown into Women’s Prayer International, a network of women who come together once a month or more in their neighborhoods or places of work to pray for the transformation of their city and nation for Christ. Revival historians tell us that there has never been a great spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin with Christians uniting to pray across the boundaries that separated them. It was for this reason that WPI was founded. Our desire is to be a resource to encourage and equip women to come together as prayer warriors for the Kingdom of God.
