I saw this scripture this morning that stood out to me and I hope it will bless you today. “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” NIV — God’s grace is with you today to pour down on you when you need it. His great love for you is with you whether you are on a mountain top or in a valley or just in between. His Holy Spirit is alive and well in you to guide you into God’s perfect will for you today. I am believing the words of God today and take comfort in the faithfulness of God. How about you? Joan Courtney, WPI Founder/CEO
God bless all of you with a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, joy filled and Christ centered 2015. The following comes from a Day Spring greeting card my husband gave me for my birthday. “JESUS, THE FAITHFUL ONE – The confidence we have… The trust we hold…The hope we carry…rest in His faithfulness. Every promise He has made He purposes to fulfill. He has the authority to accomplish all He has spoken. His power is limitless…His character changeless…His love endless! May your life continue to reflect the good things that come from God’s favor and blessings. ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, an He shall direct your path’.”
I have the card on my desk as a reminder of God’s love and faithfulness. I pray the words will encourage you to believe God for His faithfulness in your life to bring about His plan for your ultimate good and HIS glory. Face 2015 with courage and faith. Make reading God’s word and prayer a priority in your life, even a few minutes each day. Remember that God is working in the unseen where we can not see in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Nothing escapes Him. His loving presence surrounds you to guide and protect you. His word says “I will instruct you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye.” Psalm 32:8. Let’s you and I live each day abiding in JESUS, THE FAITHFUL ONE! Joan Courtney, WPI Founder/CEO
The question I am asking myself this morning is, “What does it mean, specifically to me as a born again Christian to ‘be in season and out of season?” “Be ready in season and out of season.” (2 Timothy 4:2)
Oswald Chambers has noted in his book, MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST that the season does not refer to time, but to us as individuals. Friends, oh that I would reflect Christ in the springs and summers, and the falls and winters of my life. Is it possible in each season throughout the entire year to be sold out to Christ, to be obedient to His slightest whisper, and live out God’s word? —- What about Galatians 2:20 (KJV)? I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And this life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God who gave His life for me. — Or what about Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)? “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
In the falls and winters of my life (periodically taking place in the springs and summers), I wish that I could always live on the “in season” spiritual plane when I have received a great big blessing, words of encouragement from those whom I serve, being with my husband on a restful vacation, or whatever inspires me to say, “God is good, life is wonderful, I feel like a queen, and I am in the center of God’s will!” — That is my “in season.” But it is not realistic. Is it?
Can I, in the “real world”, live on that spiritual plane when someone has misunderstood my intentions, my husband’s health report is not what I wanted to hear, or anything that is a part of life that emotionally disturbs our inner peace or takes away a sense of wellbeing? Yes! It is in those times — “the out of seasons”— that God can use me to a greater degree in being His witness to the world that God is good, life is wonderful because Jesus is alive and God is still on His throne, I am queen because I am a daughter of the KING, and I know that I am in the center of God’s will (Romans 12:2).
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love for me in every season of my life. Thank You for loving me so much that You are conforming me to the image of Christ through each season. I pray that each day of my life, whether it is a day “in season and out of season,” that I will be a reflector of Christ’s Spirit to be a witness for You. Use me each day to advance Christ’s kingdom and bring You glory. In Jesus’ matchless name, I pray. Amen.” Joan Courtney, WPI Founder/CEO
